My day began with an annoying chirp. Every 30 seconds. Just enough to drive me a little crazy. I checked everywhere — outside, the basement, the garage. Nothing. Finally, after going up in the attic, I found it: a 10-year smoke detector signaling the end of its life. It was such a small thing, but it got me thinking. We spend a lot of time chasing those “beeps” in our work and lives — those little annoyances that won’t go away. Sometimes the source isn’t obvious. You have to stay persistent, search harder, and be willing to check not-so-obvious places. And sometimes, those things aren't necessarily a problem but an indicator — a reminder that something old needs to be replaced. Not every signal is bad news. But some are there to tell you it’s time for change.
